Feedback makes me happy - multiple times. *G*
ETA: A huge thank you to everyone for reading and commenting. This is the most response I've ever had on a fic, and it's overwhelming in the best possible way. I usually respond to all comments, but I don't think I'll be able to this time, although I'll try to get to as many as possible. Thank you so much. ~Lacey

I should also say: there should be more virgin!John fics. The day the number of virgin!John fics in fandom matches the number of Rodney ones, I will be exceedingly happy. So, thank you for contributing to that. *g*

Oh.
Oh, god. Do ignore the misty eyes for a moment.
My god, but this is the ultimate happiness-inducing story. Even though I do need a handkerchief now.

Rodney might be bad with people, but John isn’t people as far as Rodney’s concerned
That's such a good description of their relationship.
he isn’t quite ready to let it go even though in some ways he’s been desperately lonely for longer than he can remember and Rodney’s hand on his arm is the closest he’s come to feeling cared about in a long, long time.
And that line just broke my heart. Oh, John.
“No, by crush I mean love.”
*flails*
The scene where it all comes together and Rodney admits his feelings is beautiful and the ending is just perfect.
Thank you (again)!

This story will not be one of my recommended stories.
No.
This story solidifies you as one of my recommended authors.
Thank you very much.
Now I'm gonna go get a tissue. I know people who've been raised like John.

This story is no exception. You've captured John's intangible aloofness perfectly. I have no problems seeing the Rodney we see on the screen as somebody huggable. John is a totally different story - despite his unflagging affability, he's not really touchable. You've portrayed that perfectly here and given plausible reasons for it. Both of the guys are almost eerily in character.
Thank you for sharing with us.

that's exactly what I said involuntarily when I finished reading this - and it's not anywhere emphatic enough, but I honestly can't find words right now for how wonderful this truly is.
*damn*, that's good!
